Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pigment-containing ultraviolet-curable composition usable favorably for food packaging applications because of the absence of odors resulting from the seepage (bleeding) or volatilization of a photopolymerization initiator or photopolymerization initiator decomposition product, etc. and endowed additionally with such merits as the absence of reaction inhibition by oxygen, tenuous curing shrinkage, etc.; and a cured product of the same.SOLUTION: The provided ultraviolet-curable composition is an ultraviolet-curable composition including (A) a compound possessing ethylenic unsaturated double bonds, (B) a polyfunctional thiol compound, and (C) a pigment. The combined contents of the compound (A) possessing ethylenic unsaturated double bonds and the polyfunctional thiol compound (B) with respect to the entire composition are 50-99 wt.%. The ratio of the number of ethylenic unsaturated double bond groups within the compound (A) possessing ethylenic unsaturated double bonds and the number of mercapto groups within the polyfunctional thiol compound (B) is 90 : 10-50 : 50.
