PURPOSE: The titled composition, obtained by blending a specific urethane acrylate with a specific isocyanurate, etc., capable of giving a cured article, useful as a secondary coating material for optical fibers and having a high elastic modulus and elongation as well as low water absorption and viscosity with a high curing rate.
CONSTITUTION: A composition obtained by initially reacting hydrogenated 4,4'- diphenylmethane diisocyanate with both terminals of a polytetramethylene glycol having 650W1,300 molecular weight, reacting a compound containing OH group and acryloyl group, e.g. 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate, etc., therewith to give an urethane acrylate and blending 100pts.wt. resultant urethane acrylate with 10W140pts.wt. tris(2-acryloxyethyl) isocyanurate alone or compound expressed by formula I and diacrylate expressed by formula II.
