Abstract:

To provide an ultraviolet ray irradiation device that prevents reduction in luminance of ultraviolet rays received by a printed object even if a plurality of cover members are used.

The ultraviolet ray irradiation device for irradiating the printed object with ultraviolet rays includes: a plurality of ultraviolet light sources aligned along a printing width direction of the printed object orthogonal to a conveyance direction of the printed object; and the plurality of cover members arranged in series along the printing direction so as to cover the plurality of ultraviolet light sources and having ultraviolet permeability. A boundary between the adjacent cover members is configured to obliquely extend with respect to the conveyance direction of the printed object.
