To provide a fixing device such as an umbrella which can fix various kinds of umbrellas to a tripod under the state independent from the motion of a camera and a pan head and rarely obstruct the operability of the camera.

This device is provided with a base stand 2 attachably/ detachably installed between a pan head fixing part of a tripod and the pan head, a shaft fixing part 10 approachably/separably connected relative to this base stand 2 through an arm 4 and a fastening means 12 for fixing the shaft to this shaft fixing part 10. A shaft groove 68 is formed on the shaft fixing part 10 and the fastening means 12 is provided with a screw 58 approaching/ separating to/from the shaft fixing part 10 when it is rotated and a push-press member 62, installed raceably relative to this screw 58, for push-pressing the shaft inserted in the shaft insertion groove 68 when the screw 58 is approached to the shaft fixing part 10, to the shaft insertion groove 68.
