Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent damage of a driving IC substrate and to easily execute connection.
CONSTITUTION: A juncture 21a of the driving IC substrate 21 is connected to a TFT substrate 16 of a liquid crystal unit. A circuit board 26 in the periphery of the driving IC formed of a flexible substrate is provided with foldable plate parts 26a, 26c. Reinforcing plates 27 divided into the plate parts 271 to 274 are joined to the rear surface of this circuit board 26 in the periphery of the driving IC. The juncture 21b of the bent driving IC substrate 21 is connected to the surface of the plate part 26a, 26c folded to face the TFT substrate 16 of the liquid crystal unit 13 on the side of the liquid crystal unit further from the TFT substrate 16 after the connecting parts 275, 276 of the reinforcing plates 27 are removed.
