To provide an unattended diving machine of composite type usable for a cable type unattended diving machine or no cable type diving machine, by providing a switching means for electric power and control inside the diving machine body.
A first power supply line is connected to an internal driving power supply 48 and an external driving power supply 56 through a change-over switch 60 by extracting it from an illumination lamp 20, a vertical propulsion unit 28 and a horizontal propulsion unit 32. Also, an inboard apparatus such as a camera 18 is connected to an ultrasonic transmitter 61 and a signal transmission line 63 through the change-over switch 60. If a control method for an unattended diving machine 10 is made switchable this way in and outside, a cable type and no cable type can be selected in accordance with the content of an underwater work and efficiency of the underwater work can be enhanced.
