To provide an underground heat exchange system, which restrains a variation in an underground water level by a water cut-off wall, and is superior in heat exchange efficiency in the ground.
A water communication port 9 is arranged in the depth of a water permeable layer 19 of the water cut-off wall 3. That is, underground water flowing in a lower part of a structure 1 from the water communication port 9, flows in the water permeable layer 19 provided with a pipe 11, and the thickness of the water permeable layer 19 becomes a flow passage of the underground water. Thus, since an underground water quantity corresponding to a difference in the depth between the underground water level 7 and the water communication port 9 can be made to flow in the thickness of the water permeable layer 19, a flow speed of the underground water passing trough the water permeable layer 19 can be increased. The flowed-in underground water is exchanged in heat with a heating medium in the pipe 11.
