PURPOSE: To keep a working floor at a fixed height by a method in which a caisson is settled down while connecting walls to the upside of the surrounding wall and a float type scaffold is floated inside.
CONSTITUTION: A caisson 6 having a bottom wall 6a and surrounding wall 6b is floated on a working yard formed on water surface. Each time walls are connected to the upside of the surrounding wall 6b to increase the height of the wall, ballast water is injected into the caisson 6 to settle it down to construct de caisson 6 of optional dimensions. In this case, a float type scaffold 10 is floated in the caisson 6. The working height can thus be kept constant and working floor of fixed height can also be secured in the caisson 6. The constructing operation can be easily and safely made.
