Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underwater detection device which is used underwater and which can surely detect foreign bodies such as glass pieces, metal pieces, and sediment on a bottom face of a water-filled pool without oversight when such foreign bodies exist there.SOLUTION: Light emission means 5 for emitting laser slit light 25, which linearly irradiates a bottom face 3 of a water-filled pool, is provided in the water of the pool. Foreign bodies 9 on the bottom face 3 in the water of the pool are detected by detecting the turbulence of a ray of the slit light 25 applied to the bottom face 3 of the pool by the light emission means 5.
