Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underwater moving device which is small-sized and best suitable for travelling on vertical wall face, and can carry out various works below the surface of the water.
SOLUTION: A device body 5 is composed so that it may be moved to a belly side 4 or a back side 19 by rotating a thrust fan 10a, 10b positively or reversely. The inside of the device body 5 becomes negative in pressure by abutting a seal skirt 26 provided on the circumference of an opening on the belly side 4 upon an under-water wall face 25, and an underwater moving device 1 is thereby suckedly attached to a wall surface 25. When in this state, a moving mechanism 11 is driven, the device body 5 travels on the wall face 25. In addition, various works can be carried out below the surface of the water by a working tool unit 49 attached to the outside of the device body 5 through a working tool attaching section 40 as the device body 5 is suckedly attached to the wall face 25 or traveled on the wall face 25.
