Abstract:
To solve such a problem that in the case of dry polishing, a brown burn occurred due to frictional heat and it was difficult to reduce a surface roughness of a polished surface, and polishing quality and productivity could not be simultaneously improved.SOLUTION: An underwater polishing system comprises a water tank, a robot, and a polishing machine. In a state that a work-piece held by an arm part of the robot and at least a part of a second rotary roller and a polishing tool of the polishing machine are immersed in a liquid accumulated in the water tank, the arm part of the robot is operated to press the work-piece held thereby against the polishing tool, and polishing is executed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
