Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underwater pump capable of achieving light weight and low cost by forming a pump casing with a resin, maintaining the efficiency of a pump, and preventing pumping near a no-discharge operating flow rate from being deteriorated.
SOLUTION: A underwater pump is provided with a pump casin 3 provided with a suction port 9, a vortex chamber 4 and a discharge chamber 5, and a motor 2 integrally attached to the pump casing 3, and for rotating and driving an impeller 6 provided on the vortex chamber 4. The pump casing 3 is constituted by connecting at least two sub casings 3a, 3b to each other, and a protrusion 11 for taking a part between the vortex chamber 4 and the discharge chamber 5 as a narrow part 12 is formed on at least one of sub casings 3a, 3b.
