To provide an uninterruptible power supply unit wherein wasteful operation of stopping or starting power supply can be prevented from being performed and adverse effect of power being supplied to an object to be supplied with power for a short time can be prevented by this prevention.
Power supply from a power source 2 to information processing equipment 19 is backed up and based on anomalies in the power source 2 or on the schedule data SD for instructing preset stop/start of power supply, power supply is stopped. When power supply is started, after the anomaly in the power source 2 has been removed or based on the schedule data SD, a power supply stop processing unit 32 operates, if the time of recovery of the power source 2 is within a power supply stop period based on the schedule data SD; and the stop processing unit continues to stop the power supply and starts power supply according to the starting instruction by the schedule data SD.
