To provide an unit for covering the interior of a machine tool which can be efficiently set up on a machine body by a single worker.
This unit is provided with a windable covering body 10, a winding mechanism having a winding shaft for winding this covering body 10, a receiving case 20 in which this winding mechanism is built-in, an operation means 30 for rotationally operating the winding shaft comprising the winding mechanism in the pulling direction of the covering body 10, a locking means 40 for inhibiting the rotation of the winding shaft in the winding direction of the covering body 10, in a condition in which the winding shaft is rotated in the pulling direction of the covering body 10 by this operating means 30, and the above covering body 10 is pulled out from the receiving case 20 when necessary, an unnecessary portion is made to be received in the receiving case 20 in a wound condition by the winding mechanism.
