To solve the problems of conventional batch type linear pleat-forming units and so on, where pleats molded with one kind of molding plates disposed in each device are limited to one kind of pleats and many problems exist for producing many kinds of curtains in small amounts, respectively, and a problem that all of molding plates must be exchanged in a long exchange time and in inferior productivity, even when only the molding plates are exchanged.

The units for pleating the curtains, which are stacked in a hot air chamber equipped with a hot air supply pipe, a filter and a hot air recovering device, characterized in that each of the units for pleating the curtains comprises a bed frame, fixing members vertically movably attached to both the ends of the bed frame, several molding plates vertically disposed on the bed frame between the fixing members, a pressing member having several pressing pipes inserted and disposed between the several molding plates, and molding members detachably attached to the tips of the molding plates, respectively. The configuration in which the molding plates are detachably attached to the molding plates is thus adopted. The exchange of various forms of molding members can be utilized to mold plural pleat shapes. The unit for pleating the curtain is useful for shortening the time for pleating the curtain, lowering the cost of the unit for pleating the curtain, effectively utilizing the unit, saving the resource, and so on.
