Title:
UNIT FOR WRITTING TIME ONTO MAIN MEMORY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5582325
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To write a time, which is counted with a minute time width, onto a memory through no CPU by providing a pulse module which writes the time counted synchronously with the fundamental time counting timing of a computer system onto a main memory.

CONSTITUTION: Pulse signals outputted from time counting module 1 are inputted to pulse module 6 through time counting bus 7. Pulse signals are regulated by signal conditioner 8 in module 6, and are transferred to counter 9, and counter 9 counts the number of pulses to store them. Pulse input controller 10 reads out contents of a memory, which is assigned previously, into main memory 4 directly through memory access module 11 and memory bus 5 and adds the counted value in counter 9 and writes the addition result again through module 11 and bus 5 and clears contents of counter 9. Consequently, a time can be counted and stored synchronously with the fundamental time counting timing of the computer through no CPU3.
