To allow a running vehicle to freely run in a mud zone as well as on water and in a dry zone by substantially liftably providing a running means having running catapillar bands respectively both sides of a hover craft.
In the case of running in a mud zone, a running means, having only running catapillar bands 16, cannot run due to sinking into the mud zone of the running catapillar bands 16. While a propeller 20 is lifted up, a hydraulic cylinder 30 is shrunk a little to raise a ground surface of the running catapillar bands 16. A blower is driven to inject air into a flexible skirt 14 and to blow the air out of an air exhaust nozzle. Thus, pressure of a bottom space surrounded by the flexible skirt 14 increases to lift up a universal running vehicle 10. In this condition, the lower portion of the running catapillar bands 16 sinks into a mud due to vibration. Therefore, by lowering the running catapillar bands 16 up to an adequate position, sinking a projection member into the mud, and driving a hydraulic motor, the running vehicle can travel back and forth.
