Abstract:
An upright microscope is characterized in that the upright microscope includes a loading stage used for loading a specimen; a focusing mechanism which holds the loading stage so that the loading stagecan move in a vertical direction; a convergent lens used for converging light from a light source; an optical element rotary table which has a rotary table for a plurality of optimal elements to be configured and a rotating shaft member which holds the rotary table to be rotatable, the optical element rotary table being used for selectively configuring one of the optical elements in a light collection position of the light source and an optical axis by use of rotation of the rotating shaft member; and a condensing lens used for irradiating light from the optical element as substantially parallel light to the specimen.
