Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supply power at the time of abnormal power supply without being restricted by the serviceable period of a built-in battery.
SOLUTION: Mutual monitor units 11 and 21 always monitor the states of power supplies of counterpart UPS's 2 and 1 respectively through a mutual monitor LAN 5. When the monitor units 11 and 21 detect that the batteries 13 and 23 of the counterpart UPS's are driven for abnormal power supply to the counterpart UPS, power supply start/stop units 12 and 22 supply power to the counterpart UPS's via a power supply cable 4 if the batteries 13 and 23 of their own UPS's are not driven. The UPS's 1 and 2 supply power to servers 6 and 7 respectively.
