Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an upward cutting type chipper manufacturing apparatus capable of stably maintaining a posture of wood to be processed upon upward cutting and, thereby, capable of manufacturing wood chips having an aligned shape.SOLUTION: An upward direction cutting type chipper manufacturing apparatus 1 performs upward direction cutting of wood W to be processed fed into a grinding rotor 4 while being held by a conveyer 2 and an upper feeding roller device 3 from the lower side to the upper side with a chipper knife 12 to fragment the wood to be processed according to rotary movement of a rotor 11. Therein, a mass of the upper feeding roller device 3 is set such that a pressing-down force which presses down the wood W to be processed onto the conveyer 2 such that the wood W to be processed is not floated up from the conveyor 2 with upward direction cutting force which actuates the wood W to be processed from the chipper knife 12 upon upward cutting of the wood W to be processed by means of the chipper knife 12 actuates the wood W to be processed according to a dead load of the upper feeding roller device 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
