EXAMPLE: 1-(4-Chloro-2-fluorophenyl)-4-isopropyl-1,2,4-triazoline-3,5-dione.
USE: Intermediate of 3-chloro-1-phenyl-1,2,4-triazolin-5-one derivative useful as a herbicide.
PROCESS: The compound of formulaIis prepared by treating the semicarbazidocarboxylic acid ester of formula II or formula III (R' is lower alyl) with an alkali.
