Abstract:
To provide a uretdione-contg. polyisocyanate which contains specified amts. of uretdione, a blocking agent, and a specified chain extender, has more than two blocked isocyanate groups, has high reactivity and is useful for polyurethane powder lacquers, the lacquers being transparent or contg. a pigment.
This polyisocyanate comprises 55 to 87 (wt.)% uretdione, 10 to 30% blocking agent, and 3 to 30% polyol having more than two OHs or a chain extender having more than two OHs. The polyisocyanate contains more than two isocyanate groups having partially of fully blocked terminals and has an mol.wt. of 1,000 to 10,000.
