Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a urethra stent easily positioned in a urethra and capable of being simply extracted by forming it with a shape memory alloy formed into a shape connected with a cylindrical tip section and a body section across a space section at the specific temperature Ms or below and deformed with the tip section into an expanded reverse conical shape and with the body section into an expanded cylindrical shape so that the tip section and the body section are directly connected at the temperature Ms or above.
CONSTITUTION: This urethra stent is formed with a shape memory alloy having the Ms point of 35-40°C, connected with the tip section 1 of a cylinder and the body section 2 of the cylinder across a space section 3 at the Ms point or below, and deformed with the tip section 1 into an expanded cylindrical shape so that the tip section 1 and the body section 2 are directly connected at the Ms point or above. When it is inserted and left into the prostata urethra, the balloon section of a balloon catheter can be swelled from the space section 3, the position of the bladder neck can be searched by the balloon section, and the positioning is facilitated. The urethra stent is made a slender cylinder at the temperature of the Ms point or below, and it can be simply extracted through the urethra.
