Abstract:
To provide a composition preventing harmful effect of pollutant, e.g. preventing keratin substance from outside pollutant (gas or heavy metal) and beautifying method using the above composition.
In this composition for topical application to keratin substance, phythantriol is used as an anti-pollution agent. In this beautifying method of the present invention for preventing keratin from pollution effect, a composition containing an active amount of phythantriol in a physiologically permissible medium is applied to the keratin substance. Phythantrtol (3,7,11,15- tetramethyl-1,2,3-hexadecanetriol) exists preferably in a form of O/W or W/O emulsion or cubic gel particles.
