Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a processing aid for increasing the melting rate of a polyvinyl chloride resin, chlorinated polyvinyl chloride resin, polyolefin, styrene-based resin and their mixture without any adverse effect on their mechanical properties.
SOLUTION: A processing aid consisting of a polymer blend based on a polymer of tetrafluoroethylene derivative and used for a polyvinyl chloride resin, chlorinated polyvinyl chloride resin, polyolefin and styrene-based resin is obtained. In this case, the polymer blend contains particles of tetrafluoroethylene polymer and the particles are partially or wholly capsuled with a styrene-acrylonitrile copolymer, and the amount of the blend is 0.05-20 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of the resin and/or the polymer with which the tetrafluoroethylene polymer is processed.
