Abstract:
To provide a pharmaceutical composition for treating Alzheimer's disease, and a method for screening an agent for treating Alzheimer's disease.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a method for treating Alzheimer's disease by means of a PI4KIIIα inhibitor, where the PI4KIIIα inhibitor is an antibody against PI4KIIIα, an inhibitory nucleotide specific to PI4KIIIα, or a low-molecular-weight compound inhibitor specific to PI4KIIIα. There is also provided a method for screening an agent for treating Alzheimer's disease, depending on whether Aβ secretion by neurons is promoted or not.SELECTED DRAWING: None
