PURPOSE: To remodel a desk into an interview counter quickly and simply at the time of need by forming a front end side panel member separatably/contactably in regard to a top slab, turning over its back, and arranging it buttingly against the top slab by making the turned-over surface approximately the same surface with the surface of the top slab.

CONSTITUTION: A panel member 6 is standingly and undulatably formed on the front end side of a top slab 1 being supported by means of support members, and when it is pushed to the extension line upper side of the top slab 1 front, it is pushed out in a direction to become distant from the front end of the top slab 1 by means of each slider 7b at the support members. When the top portion of the panel member 6 is pulled to this side or left to this side while this pushing-out is being conducted, a pivot-attachment portion by means of an axis 6a is advanced to the front part as the panel member 6 is being brought down on this side. That is, the rear surface 6d of the panel member 6 is brought down while turning its direction to the same surface side as the top slab 1. As a result, the rear surface 6d and the top slab 1 upper surface become the same and integrated, and the effect that the front surface area of the top slab 1 is expanded to the front end side of the top slab 1 by an amount equivalent to the area of the rear surface 6d is brought about.
