Abstract:
To use xanthan gum, especially thermally treated xanthan gum, as a fixing agent in cosmetic compositions containing the xanthan gum and used for hair and in compositions for fixing the hair.
The use of the xanthan gum, especially the thermally treated xanthan gum, as a fixing agent in the cosmetic compositions for the hair. The xanthan gum can be used together with one or more other fixing agents for the hair, and has an advantage which provides other characteristics including excellent rheology modification, rigidity, gloss, dry combability, wet combability, flake-free property, antistaticity, touch, and curl-holding property under high humidity.
