PURPOSE: To improve the usability by displaying the discrimination name, state field, pull-down menu, etc., of a data processing computer on the display screen of a personal computer, and actuating the data processing computer when an action selection category, etc., in the menu is selected.
CONSTITUTION: A computer system 10 consists of a local processor console(LPC) 16 and a central electronic compound body(CEC) 12. The LPC 16 consists of hardware 22, an OS/2, etc. The LPC 16 includes microcodes 28 and 30 controlling a user interface with the CEC 12. The LPC 16 performs operation control to provide services for the CEC 12. The CEC 12 is actuated by the OPC 16 and a CPU 11 executes a program stored in a main storage device 15. The LPC 16 is closely coupled with the CEC 12 by a communication function 26 to display the pull-down menu, and actuates the data processing computer when an action selection category in the menu is selected.
