Schum. is provided in a personal ornament such as a pendant P, a brooch, an ear ring or a fingerring and the active ingredient of the Alpinia speciosa K. Schum. is diffused therefrom during the wearing of the personal ornament. Thereby, a method for utilizing the Alpinia speciosa K. Schum suitable for improving a human living environment as an antimicrobial agent, a preservative, an insect repellent, an antioxidant, a perfume agent, etc., is provided.
