Title:
V-BELT HAVING ABRASIVE GRAIN
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3406234
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a slip on a pipe peripheral surface and secure a normal peripheral running of a pipe automatic cutting machine when a V-belt is used for the cutting machine, by adhering abrasive grains onto the outer peripheral surface over the entire periphery of the V-belt.
SOLUTION: As abrasive grains 3, alumina quality, silicon carbide quality and the like can be used. Preferably, GC abrasive grains (it is formed by crushing an ingot of pure silicon carbide crystal formed by heating carbon and silica rock in an electric furnace and equalizing grain size is a green color, and is also called green carbo-random) can be used. As a binder of these abrasive grains 3, a resinoid binder having a strong tensile force is preferably used. The abrasive grains 3 are adhered to the outer peripheral surface of a belt body 2 that uses a matter formed by covering a rubber material with canvas as it is. In this V-belt 1 having these abrasive grains, the abrasive grains 3 adhered to the outer peripheral surface of the V-belt bite the peripheral surface of a pipe, and therefore, sufficient contact resistance produces between it and the peripheral surface of the pipe.
