Abstract:
To apply surface modification to a stainless steel more inexpensively than before.SOLUTION: A vacuum carburizing device includes a chamber for storing an object to be processed, a heating part for heating the object to be processed in the chamber, an exhaust part for making the chamber inside into a vacuum atmosphere, a carburization gas supply part for supplying prescribed carburization gas into the chamber, and a control part for controlling the heating part, the exhaust part and the carburization gas supply part. When the object to be processed is a stainless steel, the control part heats the chamber inside up to a first temperature under a vacuum atmosphere, then sets the chamber inside at a second temperature lower than the first temperature after heating, and supplies carburization gas into the chamber.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
