Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent the occurrence of penetration leakage and a drop in the strength of a brazed section, even if a low fusion point metal spattered at the time of brazing enters a sealing ring, by using phosphorus deoxidized copper as the material of the sealing ring, and properly setting the dimensions thereof.
CONSTITUTION: Sealing rings 3 and 4 are made of phosphorus deoxidized copper, thereby preventing an increase in the crystal grain of copper, even if exposed to a thermal load at the time of brazing. Even when a low fusion point metal Bi contained in electrodes 8 and 10 enters the rings 3 and 4, therefore, the metal does not penetrate the rings 3 and 4 along the grain boundary thereof, and no penetration leak occurs. Also, a drop in the strength of a brazed section between the rings 3 and 4, and an insulation cylinder 2 can be prevented by setting a relationship between the height H of the sealing rings 3 and 4, and the outer diameter thereof as H≥1/50.D2.
