PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner which has a taking-up storage type cord reel and smoothly takes up a cord without tangling the cord.SOLUTION: An vacuum cleaner includes: a cord reel 9 including a cord take-up part, which is located at the center and has a substantially conical shape and an inclined surface, and a flange part located at one end; a cord reel case 10 including a flange part located at one end; and a cord reel part 7 formed by fitting the other end part of the cord reel in the other end part of the cord reel case. A large diameter side of the cord take-up part having the inclined surface is arranged at a position facing a power cord outlet 5.
