Abstract:
To provide a vacuum cleaner that can differentiate suction cleaning and steam cleaning and that can prevent dust wetted with steam from being sucked.SOLUTION: A vacuum cleaner body of a vacuum cleaner is equipped with an electric blower, an operation part, and a control part which controls the electric blower in accordance with the operation of the operation part. A nozzle contains first and second nozzles that can be alternatively connected to the vacuum cleaner body. In the first nozzle, there is formed in an underside an opening that becomes a suction port in the connection with the vacuum cleaner body. The second nozzle is provided with a heater that generates steam by heating water and a steam spout that spouts steam. The vacuum cleaner body is provided with a connection nozzle detection means that detects a connection state of the nozzle for the vacuum cleaner body and an operation mode switching means that switches the operation mode of the operation part in accordance with the connection state of the nozzle. The control part actuates one or the other of the electric blower and the heater in accordance with the operation mode at the time of operation of the operation part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11
