To provide a vacuum container and an electron emission display device containing the vacuum container in which a spacer can be fixed on a substrate without using an adhesive layer and so as to prevent bending of the substrate.
The electron emission display device comprises: a first substrate 2 and a second substrate 4 arranged mutually opposed to each other; an electron emission unit formed on the first substrate; a light emitting unit which is formed on the second substrate and emits a visible light by electrons emitted from the electron emission unit; a spacer 30 which is arranged between the first substrate and the second substrate; and a first support member 31 which is formed on any one of the substrates of the first substrate and the second substrate and is arranged separated from the spacer.
