Abstract:
PURPOSE: To save energy and equalize the heat load in a cooling work during the daytime by equipping a vacuum cooler for vegetables with a cold accumulating vessel and allowing it to perform ice making and cold accumulation using night electric power.
CONSTITUTION: This vacuum cooler for vegetables is composed of a vacuum tank 1, a cold trap 2, a vacuum pump 8, a freezing unit and attachments and equipped with a cold accumulating vessel 6, with a pipeling capable of circulating an eutectic salt brine from a brine cooling unit 4 through the cold trap 2 and an ice-making coil of the cold accumulating vessel 1 to the brine cooling unit during the vegetable-cooling work and with another pipeline capable of circulating the brine from the brine cooling unit to the ice-making coil of the cold accumulating vessel during the down-time of cooling of vegetables so as to freeze the brine staying in the cold accumulator.
