Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a vacuum drying method capable of forcibly drying leather products processed with water washing and spin-drying in a short time without shrinking or hardening them.
CONSTITUTION: Leather clothes 3 are stored in the storage space 10 of a chamber 1. The heating procedure heating the storage space 10 to the temperature Tc by driving a far infrared panel heater 5, feeding the dust-removed, dehumidified, heated control air from an air feed duct 6, and driving a stirring fan 7, the steaming procedure stopping the feed of the control air and controlling the far infrared panel heater 5 to keep the storage space 10 between the temperature Tc and the upper limit temperature Tm, and the decompressing/exhausting procedure discharging the air in the storage space 10 with a vacuum pump 4 are repeatedly conducted. The upper limit temperature Tm is determined to the range not shrinking or hardening the leather clothes 3, and the steam filled in the storage space 10 in the steaming procedure of each cycle is discharged to the outside in the decompressing/exhausting procedure in the oversaturated state.
