Title:
VACUUM ENCLOSURE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3215268
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a vacuum enclosure in which a magnetic fluid can be used under a state equivalent to stationary field by a structure wherein the pole, the permanent magnet and the housing follow the rotation of rotary shaft integrally.
CONSTITUTION: In order to rotate a vacuum enclosure 14, a vacuum sealing means 9 fixed to an evacuation hole 8 is fixed with an evacuation pipe 10. The vacuum sealing means 9 functions to evacuate the vacuum enclosure 14 coupled with a communication hole of a rotary shaft 1 and then the evacuation pipe 10 is removed from the vacuum sealing means 9. In this regard, a shaft seal mechanism receiver 4 comprising a magnet 6, poles 2, 3 and a magnetic fluid 7 follows the rotation of the rotary shaft 1. Consequently, the difference of r.p.m. is decreased between the rotary shaft 1 and the poles 2, 3 and since friction and stir of the magnetic fluid are reduced, the magnetic fluid can be used under a state equivalent to stationary field. This structure eliminates the need of providing a groove for carrying a refrigerant at a pole in order to suppress heating of the magnetic fluid as well as the need of a refrigerant carrying system.
