Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum fusing device for sandwich glass which does not the occurrence of a failure at the time of deaeration even when heating and cooling are rapidly executed and curved glass sheets are housed.
SOLUTION: This device is composed of a heating base 3 having a heat resistant hermetic chamber 2 for enclosing sandwich glass stock 1 and communicating with a vacuum pump and a heating furnace disposed with heaters at least either above or below the gap for loading the heating base 3. The heating base 3 has looped upper and lower frames 6, 7 openably and closably superposed on each other and is covered and provided with an expandable and contractable upper and lower objective sheets 8, 9 over nearly the entire surface inclusive of respective apertures on the side where the respective frames 6, 7 face each other. A net 11 which is fixed immovably in position via a looped gasket 10 enclosing the apertures of the upper and lower frames 6, 7 and covers the aperture of the lower frame 7 below the lower objective sheet 9 is installed between the upper and lower objective sheets 8, 9. The hermetic chamber 2 exists in the state enclosed by the upper and lower objective sheets 8, 9 and the gasket 10.
