Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent oxidization of an article in a furnace and prevent burning of a heat insulation material by detecting a pressure rise in a furnace body caused by invasion of combustion gas or air to interrupt the supply of the gas and air, and supplying inactive gas.
CONSTITUTION: In a furnace body 2 of a vacuum heating furnace 1 there are provided a pressure sensor 31, a gas supply solenoid valve an air supply solenoid valve and an inactive gas introduction pipe 32, and an inactive gas supply solenoid valve. When pressure in the furnace body is judged to exceed a predetermined value based upon a signal from the pressure sensor 31, the gas supply solenoid valve and the air supply solenoid valve are interrupted and the inactive as supply solenoid valve are opened to introduce inactive gas such as nitrogen or argon into the furnace body. Hereby, even if an outer pipe 12 of a single ended radiant tube burner 5 is damaged owing to any cause and hence combustion gas or air invades into the furnace body 2, oxidization of an article W placed in a heating chamber 4 and burning-out of a heat insulation material 3 are prevented.
