Abstract:

To provide a core material for a vacuum heat insulation material that includes no impurity causing the outgassing and has high communicating ability, excellent handleability and heat resistance and to provide a vacuum heat insulation material that does not need to enclose an adsorbent, can retain the shape because it has high resistance to the atmospheric pressure, causing no occurrence of dust, has excellent heat insulation performance without outgassing and deterioration in the adiabatic performance.

The core material for vacuum heat insulation material comprises is composed of at least glass wool and thermoplastic resin fiber. The vacuum heat insulation material comprises the core material and a vessel that receives the core material and can keep the inside in vacuum. In a preferred embodiment, the thermoplastic resin fiber is bonded to the glass wool by hot-melting and pressing. In a particularly preferred embodiment, the average diameter of the thermoplastic resin fiber is ≤20 μm and the content of the resin fiber is ≥1 wt.%.
