Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrence of abnormal action by preventing the cam followers from pressing back the cam follower fixation member even when it is cocked in the case that the cam followers are restricted by the cam follower fixation member in a valve characteristic control device.
SOLUTION: Cam followers 22m, 22h are inserted into a rocker arm main body 16 in a reciprocating manner in pressurizing and returning directions. A cam follower fixation member 34 is arranged in a range between a restriction position where the reciprocation is prevented and an allowance position where the reciprocation is allowed, movably in a perpendicular direction to the reciprocating direction of the cam followers 22m, 22h. A C ring 28 is arranged on the rocker arm main body 16 as a stopper which stops the cam follower fixation member 34 at the restriction position while being abutted against the cam follower fixation member 34 until the member 34 moving toward the restriction position is not abutted against the side surfaces of the cam followers 22m, 22h.
