Title:
VALVE ENGAGED WITH SEAT HAVING SUFFICIENT SEALING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3125735
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure sufficient sealing irrespective of incompatibility between a valve member and a seat by interconnecting the valve member and a displacing means by a wire and displacing the wire in an axial direction so as to control the opening of a valve.
SOLUTION: A ventilator is provided for receiving pressure-governed gas such as air and an oxygen mixture and controlling the flow of the gas to a patient so as to provide artificial respiration. The ventilation includes a flow control valve 42 for adjusting the flow rate of gas provided to the patient during respiration. This flow control valve 42 has a valve seat 62 to be positioned between an inlet 56 and an outlet 60 and an opening 64 having a truncated cone nozzle portion 66 converged in the inlet 56 side and a divergent truncated cone nozzle portion 68 in the outlet 60 side is formed on the valve sheet 62. Then, a ball-like valve member 72 is seated on the nozzle portion 68 and, by the operation of a stepper motor 74, the opening of the valve is adjusted via a roller 82, a core bar 86 and a wire 88 operated associatively with the cam surface 80 of a cam 78.
