Title:
VALVE MECHANISM FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2014222031
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve mechanism for an internal combustion engine which can add pressing force to an anti-loosening member so as to prevent the anti-loosening member from coming off from an end of a valve shaft and prevent the anti-loosening member from being separated from a spring receiving member even if a surging phenomenon that the operation of a valve spring does not catch up with the operation of a valve occurs.SOLUTION: The valve mechanism for an internal combustion engine includes a dish spring 6 fitted to a cotter 3 on the inner side thereof and fitted to a spring seat 5 on the outer side thereof. The valve mechanism for an internal combustion engine is configured to maintain an engagement between an end of a shaft of the valve 2 and the cotter 3 by pressing the cotter 3 inward with the elastic force of the dish spring 6 and to make the valve 2 and the cotter 3 movable within a predetermined range with respect to the spring seat 5 with the flexure deformation of the dish spring 6.
