To provide a valve member capable of accurately opening and closing a distribution path formed on a valve body, and to provide a valve member which is safe in use and whose manufacture cost is low and operability is excellent.
The valve member comprises the valve body 4 for opening and closing the distribution path 2 to be mounted on a valve main body 1 having the distribution path 2, and the distribution path 2 to be opened and closed by vertically moving the valve rod 5 of the valve body 4 in the legnth direction. The valve main body 1 comprises a valve operation member 6 to be extended and contracted in the length direction of a valve rod by a picking operation by a fingertip for holding the valve rod 5 of the valve body 4 and moving it up in the direction of opening the distribution path 2 when it is extended and releasing the holding of the valve rod 5 of the valve body 4 and moving the valve rod 5 down by the elastic restoration force of the valve body itself to close the distribution path 2 when it is contracted.
