Abstract:
To constitute a valve opening/closing timing control unit which can suppress the wear of a bearing.SOLUTION: A valve opening/closing timing control unit comprises a valve opening/closing timing control mechanism VT which is composed of: a drive-side rotating body; a driven-side rotating body; an electric motor M and a reduction gear for setting relative rotation phases of the rotating bodies; and a phase sensor for detecting actual phases of the drive-side rotating body and the driven-side rotating body. The valve opening/closing timing control unit also comprises a control part 40 for controlling the electric motor M in a direction in which a phase difference between the actual phases and a target phase becomes small, and the control part 40 comprises an oscillation control part 43 for oscillating the target phase in the vicinity of the held actual phases when the target phase is maintained at a constant value, and held in a holding region in which a variation amount of the actual phases reaches a value smaller than a set value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
