In this arrangement, the inner surface 63 of the columns 61 has a curvature equal to that of abutting surfaces Sa which are therefore made into close contact with the inner surfaces 63. Further, when the abutting surfaces Sa is exposed from the windows 62, the thickness surfaces Sb of the vanes 21 are also exposed partly, and accordingly, cover parts 64 for covering the exposed parts are provided at upper and lower end parts of the windows 62. Further, a plurality of vanes are inserted and set in the vane holding device 60, the abutting surfaces Sa being made into close contact with the inner surfaces 63 of the columns 61 so that the abutting surfaces Sa are exposed from the windows 62. A wear-resistant material is vapor-deposited only on the abutting surface Sa exposed from the windows 62.
