Abstract:
PURPOSE: To attain efficient decoding in a voice mail.
CONSTITUTION: A mode decision section 13 decides by which coding method coding is conducted for each frame of a voice message and an error check coding section 41 checks an error from mode information representing the decision for all frames and encodes the information. One of coding sections 141-144 is selected according to the coding method decided for the frame and the voice signal of each frame is coded and voice coded codes 21-22n of each frame are sent sequentially with an error check code 21 as a head.
