PURPOSE: To improve the accelerating property of a vehicle, by providing an unloading mechanism for restricting the suction of coolant gas into a compression chamber, to quickly switch to an unloaded state at the time of acceleration.
CONSTITUTION: When the revolution speed of an engine is increased, that of a rotor 5 is heightened. As a result, the pressure of a compression chamber 6 and a suction chamber 9 drops sharply so that a pressure difference is caused between the suction chamber 9 and pressure chamber 12 of a first unloading mechanism 10. Consequently, a spool 11 is moved toward the suction chamber 9 to decrease the open area of a suction port 9' to reduce the compression capacity of the compression chamber 6. Motive power applied to a compressor is thus decreased to improve the accelerating property of a vehicle.
